Founded by Pranathi Shashi Kumar and Pradeep Ramesh, Simpli Intern is an AI-powered career ecosystem created to help students make a meaningful transition from education to employment. We bring together learning, practical exposure, career preparation and opportunities in one connected ecosystem, designed around the different stages of a student’s professional journey.
Today, students have access to more learning resources than ever before. Yet, access to courses does not always translate into being career-ready. Many students invest significant amounts of time and money in online learning programs with the expectation of securing a job, only to complete classes and collect certificates without gaining sufficient practical exposure, industry experience or guidance on what comes next.
The idea behind Simpli Intern came from seeing this gap closely. While working with EdTech companies and institutions, our founders observed that the student journey often became disconnected after training. Some programs focused primarily on course completion, while mentorship, practical exposure and meaningful career assistance received considerably less attention. Students were learning, but there was often no clear connection between what they were learning and how they could turn it into a career.
Simpli Intern was born from the experiences of its two founders, Pranathi Shashi Kumar and Pradeep Ramesh, who have seen the student-to-career journey from different sides.
Pranathi’s experience as a student and professional, including pursuing her Master’s in Project Management at Northeastern University in the USA, gave her first-hand exposure to the challenges students face while navigating education, career opportunities and the transition into the professional world. Pradeep’s experience in the EdTech and skill-development space gave him a closer look at the challenges within the education ecosystem, from gaps in practical training and internships to the lack of consistent career guidance and job assistance after students complete their courses.
Combined with the founders’ experience working with EdTechs and career-focused organizations, these observations led to a simple question: What if students could access learning, practical experience and career preparation as part of one continuous journey?
That question became the foundation for Simpli Intern.
We are building an ecosystem that brings together industry-relevant courses, hands-on projects, portfolio development, mentorship, career preparation and job discovery. Instead of treating education as an isolated stage, Simpli Intern is designed to support students as they develop their capabilities and gradually prepare themselves for the professional world.
Our approach places strong emphasis on application over completion. Students should have opportunities to take what they learn and use it to create something tangible. Projects, practical work and portfolio development allow them to demonstrate their capabilities and build a professional identity that goes beyond academic qualifications.
AI is another important part of what we are building. We want technology to understand where a student currently stands and help guide what comes next, making learning, skill development and career preparation more personalized rather than offering the same path to everyone.
At Simpli Intern, we believe in promising what we can genuinely deliver. We don’t want to build around exaggerated claims, meaningless certifications or training that exists only on paper. Every part of the ecosystem should have a clear purpose and contribute to a student’s growth.
For us, the value of education is reflected in what students are able to do with it. A skill should be applicable. A project should demonstrate capability. A portfolio should represent real work. And career preparation should give students greater clarity and confidence when they enter the job market.

Meet the Founders
Founder & Managing Director
Pranathi Shashi Kumar is the Founder and Managing Director of Simpli Intern, driven by a strong belief that education should create a clear path towards meaningful careers.
Her journey across education, project management and professional environments has shaped the way she looks at the student experience. After building her professional foundation in India, she pursued her Master’s in Project Management at Northeastern University, USA, where she experienced the challenges and opportunities that come with navigating a new academic and professional ecosystem. From building professional networks to understanding industry expectations and preparing for career opportunities, her own journey gave her a deeper perspective on the gap between education and employment.
That experience became an important part of her vision for Simpli Intern, to create an ecosystem where students are not left to figure out their career journey on their own.
As Managing Director, Pranathi leads the company’s vision, strategy and overall direction, working towards building a platform that combines practical learning, career development and technology to create a more meaningful student experience.
She believes that every student deserves access to the right guidance, opportunities and resources to turn their potential into a career.
Co-Founder & CEO
Pradeep Ramesh is the Co-Founder and CEO of Simpli Intern, with experience across the EdTech and skill-development ecosystem and a strong understanding of the challenges students face while preparing for the workforce.
His experience working closely with students, training programs and education-focused organizations gave him an inside view of how the learning ecosystem operates. He saw students complete courses and training programs, yet often struggle with what comes next: gaining practical experience, finding relevant internships, preparing for interviews and accessing genuine career opportunities.
These experiences shaped his belief that education should not end with training or certification. Students need a system that continues to support them as they develop their skills, gain experience and prepare to enter the professional world.
As CEO, Pradeep drives the execution, growth and development of Simpli Intern, while working closely with industry partners, educational institutions and the wider career ecosystem. His focus is on turning Simpli Intern’s vision into a scalable platform that creates tangible value for students.
He believes the real measure of learning is not simply what a student knows, but what they can do with what they have learned.
